Christ Church Sunday School meets at 10:00 am on Sundays. Children spend quality time in the classroom and then proceed to Church for Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion). Nancy Pellerin is our Sunday School Supervisor
Christ Church is active in Christian Education. In 2004 we dreamed of a Nursery; now it is a reality. From the Nursery sprang another dream; a room for toddlers too old for the Nursery, but also too young to sit for an hour in Sunday School. We now have such a room (See our pictures below). Children soak up everything they see and hear, so it is very important to teach the children about God. We can do this in many ways, but the best way to teach is by example as parents, godparents and as volunteers in the Nursery, Toddler Class, and Sunday School.
Through our Christian Education ministry, our children are not only learning the Bible stories but they are also learning about pastoral care and outreach by making cards for seniors and for our Christmas Hampers. The children also learn about compassion by donating scarves, mittens, hats, and socks to those less fortunate than themselves through the Mitten Tree. They learn about worship and participate in several services during the year.
Some of the recent activities included:
Making prayer candles
Making prayer beads
Making pretzels
These were sold at Coffee Hour and donations went to The
Christian Children Fund of Canada
